Penn State University provides pregnancy accommodations in compliance with Title IX and other federal and state laws. These accommodations are designed to support pregnant and parenting students, as well as faculty and staff. Accommodations may include adjustments to academic responsibilities, such as excused absences for medical appointments or childbirth, modified schedules, leaves of absence and access to lactation rooms. The university also ensures that pregnant employees are not discriminated against and are provided with necessary workplace modifications, including temporary reassignment of duties and more frequent breaks. Students and employees can request accommodations through the Title IX Coordinator, Office of Sexual Misconduct Reporting and Response, or the Office of Equal Opportunity and Access.

Lactation Stations
Penn State Human Resources and Policy HR20 provide breastfeeding support, including lactation stations at University Park and Commonwealth Campuses.
Lactation Room: UHS offers a dedicated lactation room for students, faculty, staff and visitors. It was located in the Community Health hallway (Room 201E). The room provides privacy, comfort, and essential amenities like a massage chair, breast pump, changing table, diapers, wipes, and a locked refrigerator for milk. To reserve a time slot for the lactation room, please contact breastfeeding@psu.edu.

Pregnancy/Parenting Discrimination
Individuals should submit this form when they become aware, directly or indirectly, of an incident in which the victim or the offender is a Penn State student, faculty, or staff. Information provide may be from personal observation, a verbal or written report from a victim, or a verbal or written report through a third party who either observed or became aware of the incident.
