Information for Witnesses

A witness is typically asked to provide their account to an investigator and to answer other questions an investigator may have. Witness participation in University investigations is voluntary.

Witness statements and interviews are incorporated into the University’s investigative report, which the Complainant and Respondent are entitled to review. A witness may be called to a hearing.

Witnesses are covered under Penn State’s policy against retaliation. Any member of the University found to be in violation of the policy is subject to discipline.
