Wanda Devlin holds the position of Global Safety and Export Compliance Specialist. This position has shared responsibilities within the Global Safety Office, a unit within Global Programs, and the Export Compliance Office in the Department of Export and Compliance. Her responsibilities are centered around supporting university affiliated international travel, including: travel record management, export reviews, and international scholar reviews to ensure compliance.
Wanda brings to her position extensive experience living and traveling internationally and a background in Occupational Health and Safety. Early in her career, Wanda worked for the Occupational Health and Safety Department of the Alberta Government in Canada as an Occupational Hygiene Technologist and held the position of Worker’s Compensation Claims Adjuster for the Alaska National Insurance Company in Anchorage, Alaska. Wanda has served in key roles for several international schools and non-profit organizations as she moved between Canada, the United States, Norway, Scotland, Nigeria and Azerbaijan. Collaboration, community building, and intercultural relationships have been a focal point throughout her career and international living experiences and this shared focus supports her current shared responsibilities across university departments.
