Matt comes to Penn State from the Bellwood Antis School District, where he taught fourth grade and Kindergarten. He was a member of the Elementary Student Assistance Program (ESAP) team, helping to identify high risk students within the elementary school and connect them with the correct school and home-based services. Previously, he taught under the Pre-K Counts program, which is a state funded program designed to target underprivileged youth in high risk socioeconomic households.
Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Penn State and his Early Childhood Certification through the University of Edinboro. He has a wife, Tania, and three kids; Aiden, Violet, and Finn. He is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman, with a love of hunting and fly fishing/tying.
